Very disappointed! Maybe they're under new management? We had loved the place, but when we went there on 5/23, there were numerous problems: (1) there was some kind of greasy or oily stuff on the floor; one patron who was coming in actually fell. It was not just water, because it was still there the entire 90 minutes that we were. (2) one of the outer doors was never unlocked; we brought this to the attention to the lady at the front, and she never did anything about it. (3) the food ingredients were excellent quality!, but our chef absolutely drowned everything in butter and soy sauce. (4) one reason we like Japanese Hibachi restaurants is the little show the chefs put on; our chef did nothing, and neither did the chef opposite him, which is a shame, since that table had children, who would have enjoyed it. (5) our server was sweet, but not very attentive. (6) our chef got my wife's order wrong... she ordered steak and chicken, and he forgot the chicken. He did make it right, but since he had a list of everyone's orders in front of him, and he verified everything before he started cooking, that was inexcusable. We'll give them one more chance; but if they don't get the

We have been to Ichiban probably six times last year, and every time we are surprised at how great the service is and how good the food tastes. We've been here with groups, we've been here for celebrations, and we've been here for casual date nights, and it is great! The food is affordably priced and so fresh. My wife and I often share a hibachi dinner and get a couple of sushi rolls, and the sushi is always incredible, especially the Fox lady roll. Today we enjoyed this with our family, and it was a great meal. I recommend everybody give this place a try because the staff is great, the place is super clean, and the food comes out very fast. We've had sushi at many places, and this is a great value and very high quality.

Ichiban Hibachi on Georgesville is one of those spots that never disappoints. Every visit feels like a treat — the food, the service, and the value are all consistently impressive. The prices are really reasonable, especially considering the quality and generous portions you get. One of my personal favorites is their clear soup — it’s light, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I always go for a double serving instead of the salad because it’s just that good. My usual go-to order is the steak and shrimp combo with their egg yolk sauce, which is absolutely amazing and adds such a rich, buttery flavor to the meal. On my most recent visit, I decided to switch it up and try the scallops for the first time, and I was definitely not disappointed. They were cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and seared just right. The hibachi chefs are always entertaining and friendly, making the dining experience fun from start to finish. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Whether you’re there for a casual dinner or a special occasion, Ichiban always delivers. Great food, great prices, and great vibes — it’s definitely one of my favorite places to eat in the Georgesville area.

My wife and I went on Valentine’s Day and boy was this not a happy evening. To me, they seemed to be under staffed, especially for that day. We sat at a regular table and not at the fancy table with the chef doing all the tricks. But hell, we should have. A group of 4 came in after us, went to the fancy table, and left before us…and we didn’t even have our appetizers yet. Our entrees took FOREVER to come, and then wasn’t even all that. The lady that was our server was nice tho. I’ll give them that. We will return for the bar and their apps. Those were good.

The best food ever and lots of it too! They have a lot of meat and veggie options to choose from and price was excellent for the amount of the main dish you get. The chef that came to our table to cook the right in front of us was very friendly, funny and talented with his egg flipping and cooking skills! Definitely will go again!
